Trip Reports

Evening on Seneca Breaks - 3.4 ft - 5 Nov
Author Last Post

Taking advantage of 65 degree weather, John Snitzer organized 6 of us for a meet at 3:30 at Violettes for a run down the Breaks. Daylight as we started - dark as we finished up the Canal. Canal, BTW, has been drained at Pennyfield, meaning no water below Blockhouse Point - and minimal navigability (3 inches down) paddling back to Violettes. No notice to the boating community.

We split into two groups - Wayne, Tim, and Mike O'Keefe ahead, and John, Miki, and Alf in another pod. Mellow, no wind, as we wended our way down the open reaches of the rapids.
