Weds Eve - Anglers to Lock 10
Author Last Post

by Paul Mohler

It was a hot and humid day with no thunderstorms in the forecast — perfect for an evening paddle. There were four of us: a C-1 (Dave), two K-1s (Kathleen and me), and a rowboat (Dan). After setting shuttle, we proceeded down river from the Angler’s put in to the Lock 10 take out. The river was running about 3.1. No real incidents to report; a few practice rolls by the K-1s, some play at the usual spots, and ongoing amazement at how well Dan maneuvered his lightweight rowboat through the ledges and rapids. The sun was setting as we finished, the moon a crescent hanging above us, and full dark by the time we got all the cars back to Lock 10.
