Bloomington Release
We'll be paddling the North Branch Potomac / Bloomington Release in Western MD. For those who want to carpool, we are meeting at 8:30 a.m. at Sharpsburg Pike Park and Ride in Hagerstown (I-70 to Exit 29, turn south on MD 65 to the Park and Ride on the left immediately before McDonalds). Then proceeding west on I-70 for a 10:30 a.m. meeting at the takeout. The takeout is at the water treatment plant in Bloomington, MD (MD 36 to right on MD 135; go about 2 miles, then bear left on N Hamill Ave., to left on Owens Ave to takeout parking at the end of Owens). Masks are encouraged while ridesharing and shuttling. The release water is quite cold, and thundershowers are often a possibility. First timers are encouraged to join in if they have good boat control. Please note current Corps of Engineers info indicates the normal Sunday release has been cancelled. Appreciations for Hendrik van Oss (OC-1) and Mike Keefe (K-1) who will be helping with shuttle and on the river. Contact John Enagonio if you are interested in participating.

John Enagonio
enagonio@yahoo.com
cell 301/300-7749
