Thursday Paddle - Dealers Choice
Tim Tilson will lead a trip with three possibilities:

Option #1. Anglers –Lock 10. This is a 3 mile trip with two Class II+ rapids. The Little Falls gauge is at 3.34 ft. and steady making this a low water run. It should stay up. The weather forecast for Thursday is 75 with less than 10% chance of rain. No lunch - snack stop only.

Option #2 Remington to Kelly’s ford. This is a 4.5 mile trip on the Rappahannock, about one hour south west from Fairfax. It starts with 3 miles of flat water followed by 1.5 miles of rock garden with two Class II+. The level is 206 cfs with a canoe 0 of 250cfs , although 300cfs is a much better level. The forecast is 75 with a 15% chance of rain. Bring a lunch.

Option #3 Goose Creek. This a 5-6 mile trip from Sycolin Rd to Kephart Bridge landing. There are 2 miles of flat water at the start and then a carry around the dam with a drop of 20-30 ft. Once on the moving water, there is one Class II+ and two Class II rapids. The level is 91 cfs with 300 cfs as a good level. The weather prediction is 75 degrees with a 15% chance of rain. Bring a lunch.

The choice will be rainfall dependent. A decision will be made NLT 0700 Thursday morning. If you are interested contact Tim at hmslydia@msn.com or via phone at 703-273-9436 (land line) by 900 pm Wednesday night.
