Sunday Paddle - REDIRECTED OR CANCELED
The Potomac was at 10.2 ft - only three others has signed up / asked to be kept in mind. We four ended on the upper part of Catoctin Creek MD - called Middle Creek. See the TR.

Due to predictions seen today (Fri, 6 May) that the Po will be running at 7.2 feet, we will NOT be gathering at Violettes Lock. I will be looking for smaller streams nearby (think Goose or Virginia Catoctin), but if even they look too high - will scrub the trip entirely.

If redirecting, I'll send an APB to the Sunday list. If Canceling - no notice at all, since no-one has said they're coming.

- Alf

SUPERSEDED NOTICE:
Meet at Violettes Lock, ready to paddle at 9:30. Cross the Potomac and enter the Geo Washington Canal on the Virginia side paddle down through several Class 1 and 2 rapids. Return across the Potomac and reeneter the C&O Canal at Blockhouse Point/ Mile 21. 3.8 ft predicted (Med High) Return to Violettes.

Please contact me by phone or email if coming - do not drop in.

Alf

Please look at the CCA's "Trip Guidelines" page: https://canoecruisers.clubexpress.com/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=394800&module_id=223946

Also: Covid Rules. -
All participants should bring a personal mask to be worn as needed.

Do not attend if you think that you may have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the past two weeks, or if you have any of the signs and symptoms of COVID-19, including but not limited to: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
