We will launch from Riverpoint Drive Trailhead (formerly Kephart Bridge Landing), near Leesburg, and paddle seven fantastic miles with the current to the Algonkian Park for pullout. This trip has some logistic issues.<br /><br />We have to drop the kayaks in Leesburg at 2:00 PM and drive and park our cars in the Algonkian Park. We have to share with car pooling or take Ubers back.<br /><br />If someone has a friend with a van who wants to earn money, attendees will pay for the service.<br /><br />We will launch from Kephart Landing at about 3:15 PM.<br /><br />You can just kayak or kayak and camp. You can meet us at 6:00 PM on the TenFoot Island. Just bring something to cook and share.<br /><br />For those interested, I&#39;m planning to camp on Tenfoot Island that night. You can bring something to cook and bring something to share. The camping area is on the western side of the island and there is no tap water and only nature&#39;s bathroom (everywhere).<br /><br />We plan to have a bond fire (yes, last year I called it a &quot;bomb fire.&quot;). Everyone camping should be over 21 and bring bug spray and a red light as bugs are not attracted to that color. Camping is free but you must complete the attached form.
