This week we will paddle the Class I-II George Washington Canal, crossing the Potomac to run the GW Canal and then re-crossing to return via the C&amp;O Canal.<br /><br />If you plan to attend contact Gary Quam at gquam64@gmail.com or 703-625-6552. Please arrive by 9:00 am so we can meet on the water no later than 9:30 am. Address: Violette’s Lock parking lot, 13948 Violette’s Lock Rd, Poolesville MD. 73-9436. <br /><br />PFDs are required for all. Helmets are required for kayakers using spray skirts and highly recommended for all others. Airbags are strongly encouraged for boats without other means of flotation. If you need safety equipment, please advise the trip coordinator in advance.<br /><br /><br />CCA Covid-19 Guidance<br /><br />Fully vaccinated people can congregate in small groups, share shuttle rides and carpooling together, etc., consistent with CDC Guidelines. <br /><br />For groups that include un-vaccinated people, masks should continue to be worn, consistent with CDC Guidelines. <br /><br />Do not attend if you think that you may have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the past two weeks, or if you have any of the signs and symptoms of COVID-19, including but not limited to: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
