This canoe is pinned in the final rapid of the GW Canal before paddlers return to the main Potomac River. It's on river right at the bottom of the rapid, and it creates a series obstacle, acting like an undercut rock. I saw the canoe last Sunday, and it's still there. So I know it's been there at least one week. This morning, several of the CCA Sunday morning paddlers attached a rope and tried to pull the canoe off the rock, but it would not move. It is a very solid pin.
