Several creeks were in play last week following Sunday's heavy rain, but they have receded now and we're left with the George Washington Canal on Sunday. On the plus side, the level will be decent, projected at 3.7' on the Little Falls gauge. The weather will be chilly with a temp around 50 but, for the first Sunday in four weeks, there is no rain in the forecast. The latest information is that the C&O canal has sufficient water to run a loop trip so we will meet at Violettes Lock at 10:00. PFDs are required for all. Helmets are required for kayakers using spray skirts and highly recommended for all others. Airbags are strongly encouraged for boats without other means of flotation. If you need safety equipment, please advise the trip coordinator.
