GW Canal - 30-Eddy Rapid - Dangerous Underwater Li...

On the Sunday Paddle, part of our sub-group saw this, and I got out to remove it, but without success. It is at the far right / bottom of 30-Eddy/ Exit Rapid sticking out 6 feet (2" diameter) from the large low rock along the riverside. I pushed it so it is under water (at 2.7 ft @ LF) - a less dangerous place. Unless you're swimming (as I was 2 years ago), it should not bother. However, this spot will continue to catch sticks or logs from time to time, given the crack between the large low rock and a smaller rock just upstream. - Alf Cooley
