Three paddlers - Ken C, Larry L, and David M - paddled LF on another glorious fall day at the current low level (2.8), at a bit past low tide. Z Channel was negotiated competently by all craft. Beaver Slide was also run in enviable style by all three of us. The LF drop was done in three variations (like a classical sonata): one canoeist down the Maryland side and two kayakers doing the fabled Hairy Fairy (er, Ferry), with Ken doing a standard line into the right eddy (though working hard to avoid a close encounter with Cleaver rock in deceptively turbulent current) and David competently sailing down the drop to the left of Cleaver.
There were no problems with parking, as feared with the onset of the government shutdown.
