Supermoon paddle at Anglers Inn
If you are a member, please log in to access additional, potentially lower registration fee options.
About this event
Join us for a rare blue supermoon paddle! This extra-large full moon will rise and bathe us in light starting at 7:54 pm on Wednesday August 30. We’ll meet at the Anglers Inn lower parking lot at 7 pm with the goal of getting on the water by sunset. Paddlers can hang out below the "chutes" or do an easy carry over a small rapid called Maryland chute to enter Mather Gorge. Flat water except for the chute. No shuttle; we’ll return to Anglers. Bring a headlamp. Boat lights also highly recommended - some will be available, but bring your own if you can. Trip may be canceled if the weather prevents us from seeing the moon.
Trip co-coordinators are Gabe Popkin and Jackie Hoglund. For questions or to optionally RSVP, contact Gabe Popkin, gpopkin@gmail.com
