Halloween Paddle and Picnic, weather permitting. Show your creativity and sense of humor by decorating your boat, your helmet, or yourself for spooky season. Be mindful of safety: nothing that might catch on a branch or obstruct vision and paddling.

The predicted high temperature is 57°. The water temperature is likely to be ~55°. Appropriate cold weather gear is required for safety and an enjoyable day. The rule of thumb is to dress for immersion.

PFDs are required for all. Helmets are required for kayakers using spray skirts and highly recommended for all others. Airbags are strongly encouraged for boats without other means of flotation. If you need safety equipment, please advise the trip coordinator.

This is the final regularly-scheduled Sunday class 1-2 trip, so we'll celebrate the end of the season and a birthday by gathering at Riley's Lock for lunch afterward.
