About this event
For those of you who cannot invest the time or the interest to participate in the trip down the Rappahannock on Sunday, there is now a parallel trip that will be paddling the GW canal via the Violette’s Lock Loop. Jackie Hoglund has graciously stepped to lead a group through the GW Canal on Sunday Morning. Meeting time is 9:00am at Violette’s Lock. The predicted Little Falls gage is 4.2 ft and a discharge of 12,200 CFS, which is a good level for this river section. Please advise Jackie Hoglund (jhoglund1@yahoo.com) if you plan to join.
PFDs are required for all. Helmets are required for kayakers using spray skirts and highly recommended for all others. Airbags are strongly encouraged for boats without other means of flotation. If you need safety equipment, please advise the trip coordinator.
