We’ll meet at Violettes Lock at 10:00 AM to start paddling at 10:30 AM. The Little Falls gauge is around 2.7’ – low – and the water temperature will be under 60°. The air temperature will be in the upper 40’s when we put on and mid-50’s when we return. Appropriate cold weather gear is essential for safety and comfort. PFDs are required for all. Helmets are required for kayakers using spray skirts and highly recommended for all others. Airbags are strongly encouraged for boats without other means of flotation.

If you’d prefer to shuttle from Riley’s to Pennyfield, let the Trip Coordinator know so she can connect you to any others so inclined.

This is the last official Sunday paddle of the year. To celebrate another successful season, we'll gather afterwards at Riley's Lock to eat lunch at the picnic tables. Bring your own lunch, a chair, and perhaps a blanket. Have a Solo stove? Please bring it! Food to share is welcome but not necessary. It's a bit early for Halloween, but if you want to decorate yourself or your boat, definitely go for it.
