Open pool sessions for paddlers to practice; participants are responsible for their own gear and safety. These are not formal instruction classes, but friendly paddlers are always on hand to offer tips on technique. All ability levels are welcome, and the sessions are open to the public.
Sessions are held every Tuesday night, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, January through March.
Sign-in starts about 6:45 inside the pool. Enter through steel service doors on the Grant Avenue side of the building. Boats and gear must be clean. We don't want river mud in the pool.
Cost for the each session is $20 for CCA members, $25 for non-CCA members, plus the ACA insurance fee of $10 per session if you are not an ACA member.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
No paper registrations or cash payments will be accepted at the pool. The CCA website accepts credit cards (no other forms of payment). You can get to the CCA and ACA sites for registration, payment, and waivers from your phone on the pool deck, but completing registration beforehand will speed things up at the pool and help avoid frustration.
Special Offer for New CCA Members
Individuals who join CCA for the first time between January 1 and March 31, 2026, will receive a complimentary pool rolling lesson class at one of the scheduled pool rolling sessions. (CCA membership is $20 per year.) This offer expires on March 31, 2026, the last scheduled session. Participants will need to sign the standard ACA waiver form and pay the associated $10 insurance fee (members of ACA are exempt from this fee), but there is no cost for the lesson or pool admission.

Insurance for pool rolling is through the American Canoe Association (ACA) https://americancanoe.org/
You must be an ACA member or pay an extra insurance fee of $10 per session. ACA membership is $40, so if you plan on attending four or more pool sessions, you should join ACA.
To sign the ACA waiver as a nonmember, go to the
ACA Website and click the Login link on the upper right side of the screen. On the login popup screen, click on Create Account and fill out the required information. When the signup process is completed, click on Login and go to your Profile, then select Event Waivers from the menu on the left side of the Profile screen.
