Events - Event View

Not a drop of whitewater; this is Level 14 of the Lower Canal. Meet early (8:00 am) at Carderock Lot 4, dump boats, shuttle to Anglers, return to C and start. It has varied scenery and shade as you progress upstream from C to Anglers and then to Widewater and Lock 15. Short version to Anglers is under 1 hour on the water, longer versions are up to 3 hours. Much of it is in the shade. while the temps these days start low at 7 AM and rise 20 degrees by 2 PM. Need I say more? Please contact AlfCooley@gmail.com - or call 703 397-6882.
It should be watered all the time the Potomac is low, so it makes a good alternate paddle. Unfortunately the Canal authority does not list it as "watered."
