Swiftwater Rescue Class, July 13-14

Registration is open for the Swiftwater Rescue Class that Mike Aronoff and Dave Hubbard will teach at Riley's Lock July 13-14. Mike and Dave have taught this class for CCA several times. Everyone who participated learned a lot of valuable on-river knowledge and experience. Even if you have taken it before, trip coordinators should take a swift water rescue class again as a refresher every couple of years.

ACA River Safety and Rescue includes: Identifying river hazards; avoiding river accidents and injuries; learning and practicing self-rescue skills; and practicing methods for rescuing other boaters and their equipment. These skills will make your river trips safer.

Class size is limited to 12 people. Cost for the weekend is $185 for CCA members. CCA will give a $75 rebate to trip coordinators who agree to schedule at least two trips for CCA in the 12 months following the class. You must register by June 28 on the CCA website.
