Winter Pool Rolling Sessions Return

Come join us for pool rolling sessions this winter! 

The CCA is sponsoring pool rolling sessions at the Piney Branch Pool in Takoma Park, MD (7510 Maple Ave.). These are great chances to tune up your roll or teach a friend to kayak in nice warm water—during wintertime! These are not formal instruction classes, but friendly paddlers are always on hand to offer tips and tricks on technique. All ability levels are welcome.

Sessions are every Tuesday night 7:00-9:00 p.m. in January, February, and March. The first session is Jan. 7. They are open to the public. The cost of a session is $20, plus $10 for insurance through the American Canoe Association (no insurance charge for ACA members, though, because that’s covered by your ACA membership dues). These fees help cover the cost of the pool rental. 

You can register in advance through the CCA website—just go to the pool sessions on the CCA calendar. Or you can register and pay (via credit card on your phone) at the pool.
