AW Makes Summaries of Fatalities More Widely Available

American Whitewater has begun to make its twice-yearly fatal-accident summaries publicly available online. These summaries historically have been published in the American Whitewater Journal for members, but the association said in its March-April issue that "this information is valuable to people far beyond our Journal’s readership, so going forward, these summaries will be made available online." A "Latest Accident Summary" link can be found on the Safety Resources webpage; the latest currently is the one for July-December 2024. "We hope to continue to expand our accident reporting to include more in-depth analysis, imagery, innovative safety equipment, and links to useful reports and informative videos in the near future," AW said.
