Thursday Paddle - BLOOMINGTON at ca 1,000 cfs
Cinco de Mayo paddle.
COE says it’s going to release between 800 and 1200 cfs from Jennings Randolph dam on Thursday. After seeing John S’s report of a 500 cfs run that he really enjoyed, I say we go for it on Thursday.

Those coming from DC area can meet in Myersville at McDonalds (on Hwy 17
at Exit 42 from I-70) at 8:30. We will move to the Park and Ride, re-arrange boats, and be on the road by 9. If you are going straight to Bloomington, meet at the take-out at 11. Take out is off Hwy 135 where Savage River flows into the N. Branch of Potomac — Race Street in Bloomington MD. (39.4731, -79.0777)

Temps predicted to be a high of 73 with light winds. Water will be cold (~50) as the release comes from the bottom of the reservoir. Dress properly.

Please let David Cottingham (Cotton) know if you plan to join the group — dcottingham7@icloud.com or 202-699-1277. I will check the release schedule Thursday morning before leaving home about 7:30. If the Corps changes its release schedule I will be in touch with folks who have indicated they plan to join us.
