Sunday Paddle - Seneca Creek - 10 July
SATURDAY, 10:15 am UPDATE - - - - - , SENECA's ON.

I am buffaloed. 3.5 inches fell here in McLean last night, yet the two gauges I've been following (Dawsonville-Seneca) (Leesburg-Goose) have hardly budged.

Yet the NWS predictions make me figure 300 cfs on both Goose and Seneca by 12:00 noon tomorrow - perfectly respectable levels. Having chosen Seneca, I'll stick by it. So Rileys Lock parking lot - by the concrete power-boat launch - at 9:30. Bring lunch.

I'll put any new updates HERE.
1:10 pm SATURDAY - Lisa Laden wants to set up an Alternative Trip - Down the Geo Washington Canal - back up Seneca Breaks. Pls contact her. lisaladen@comcast.net
----------------------------------------------
However, Saturday rains are projected to bring nearby Seneca Creek up to 500 cfs, a brisk level for this run, where 85 cfs is the canoe zero. We will run the trip from Dawsonville USGS gauge at MD 28, six miles down this Class I+/II creek.

Please let me know if you are interested.

Thanks - SYOTR, Alf
