Spring Cleanup
BYOB- Bring Your Own Boat but Landlubbers welcome. Trash bags will be provided.
We will have an early spring clean-up on Saturday, April 6, 2026 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, on the Potomac River at Algonkian Regional Park. The river is moving flat water, just upstream of and across from Riley’s Lock. We will meet in the parking lot by the boat ramp. If river levels and water conditions allow, boaters may go out on the Potomac River and pick up trash along the river bank and on the islands in the river. Bring your own boat if you plan to paddle. Appropriate clothing, boat, equipment, and PDFs required for collecting trash on the river. Landlubbers are welcome and can collect trash in the park.
This is a designated clean-up with the Alice Ferguson Foundation.
